Our Story (Continued…)

When Brian and his wife Marty took over the business in 1992, the company was a local favorite, specializing in old-fashioned kettle-cooked chips. Soon, under Nissly’s ownership, they had expanded to making the “Dark” chips—which now have an almost cult-like following—and an assortment of flavors. Today he is still experimenting to find the next delicious offering. The company also more than doubled the number of retail stores, farmers market stands, restaurants, distributors, and mail orders.

Yet, despite all of the growth and innovation, the company remained committed to maintaining the old-fashioned, kettle cooking methods.

In 2009, Nissly sold the manufacturing portion of the business to focus on expanding the brand through sales. You can still find him and Marty at Green Dragon and Roots Farmers Markets (Friday and Tuesday, respectively).
